Reaffirmation Agreement

A reaffirmation agreement allows you to keep secured property such as a car by agreeing to remain personally liable for the debt. Required by some lenders. Each agreement is separately prepared and filed.
Filing Fee Waiver Application

If your income is below 150% of the federal poverty line, you may qualify to have the $338 filing fee waived by the court. We prepare and file the application.
Amended Schedules

If information changes or was incomplete after filing, we prepare and file an amended schedule. Additional court filing fees not included and vary by amendment type.
Motion to Avoid Judicial Lien

If a creditor placed a judicial lien on exempt property such as your home, we file a motion to have it removed. Does not include the court filing fee.
Motion to Strip Second Mortgage

If you have a second mortgage on a home where the first mortgage exceeds the property value, we may be able to strip the second lien. Does not include the court filing fee.
Adversary Proceeding

If a creditor challenges your discharge, we represent you. Does not include the court adversary proceeding filing fee (currently ~$350 in most Michigan districts).
Reopen Case

If your case needs to be reopened after discharge. Does not include the court reopening fee (currently ~$260 in most Michigan districts).
Credit Counseling and Debtor Education Coordination

We locate an approved provider and coordinate your two required courses.

Additional court filing fees for motions and adversary proceedings are set by the federal bankruptcy court and are not included in the add-on fees listed above. Your attorney will advise you during your consult.

About the $338 court filing fee

The $338 court filing fee is set by the federal bankruptcy court. It is the same for all Chapter 7 filers in Michigan. It is separate from our attorney fee and billed at cost. If you qualify for a fee waiver, we handle the application for $49.
